A worker appealed for consideration from revelers at the Binangonan, Rizal town fiesta after she was splashed with water while riding a jeepney.

On Wednesday, October 21, Ludivina Bernardo Castillo shared that she was among the passengers who got wet after revelers splashed water on their jeepney while she was on her way to work.

Based on her Facebook profile, Castillo is a teacher.

“Shout out, Binangonan Fiesta, na nangbasa [nang] papasok pa lang sa trabaho. Galit na pasahero, tuwang-tuwa pa kayo. Magbasaan kayo, [kayo-kayo] na lang,” she wrote.

“Idadamay niyo pa kaming maghahanap-buhay lang. HINDI PO KAYO NAKAKATUWA,” Castillo added.

She included photos of the incident in her post, showing a wet jeepney seat and a selfie of herself.

Water droplets were visible on her face, neck and upper arm.

Some Facebook users expressed sympathy for her, sharing their own alleged experiences with the activity.

“Bro, ganyan nga diyan, grabe, kahit sabihin na may karga ka pang baby, talagang mga nambabasa, aba. Kayamot,” an online user commented.

“Truee te, kanina nga, dumaan kami diyan tapos tulog ‘yung baby ko, nagising lang binasa kami, grabe talaga perwisyo nila,” another wrote.

“Naranasan ko din ‘yan dati sa Baras,” a different Facebook user commented, referring to another municipality in Rizal.

The Binangonan Town Fiesta is celebrated annually on October 21 in honor of its patron saint, Saint Ursula.

Festivities typically include street parades and dances, as well as a fluvial procession on Laguna de Bay, during which the image of Saint Ursula is carried across the lake. The procession is accompanied by a fleet of festively decorated local boats, while revelers take part in the lively celebrations, including water-splashing activities.
