Philippines trade deficit at $4.4 billion in August

 The Philippines posted a trade deficit PHTBAL=ECI of $4.375 billion for August, preliminary official data showed on Thursday.

Imports PHIMP=ECI in August increased 2.7from a year earlier to $11.12 billion, while exports PHEXP=ECI barely rose 0.3% to $6.7 billion, the Philippine Statistics Authority said.
