A white sedan and a red sedan collided while both were attempting to secure a parking slot in a covered lot.

Footage reshared by Facebook page “Parkeserye” shows the white sedan approaching an empty slot and beginning to reverse into it.

As the driver was maneuvering, a red sedan entered from the right side of the frame and moved forward toward the same slot.

The white sedan, however, continued to reverse, resulting in a low-speed collision between the two vehicles.

After the bump, the driver of the white sedan stepped out of the vehicle to inspect the situation, as the red sedan had been attempting to park in a head-in position.

“Away sa parkingan… Aray koooo…” the Facebook page said in its caption.

“Parkeserye’s” post has earned 1,000 laugh reactions, 43 shares, and 66 comments, with some Filipinos weighing in on the incident.

“Sino ba ang totoong nauna? Baka ‘yung red ay mas mauna na iintay at magbwelo, eh kasi nakatumbok na siya at kanina pa siya doon, ‘yun white ang bagong dating eh,” a Facebook user said.

“‘Yung naka white na kotse, sinadya [banggain] ‘yung red na kotse. Kasi kung pa-park siya, hindi ganun ang atras niya. Palayo sa parking,” another said.

“Lumalabas talaga ang totoong ugali ng mga tao sa parking,” a different Pinoy commented.

“Nauna ‘yung pula… nakipag-unahan lang ‘yung puti,” another Filipino said.

Parking is usually on a first-come, first-served basis, meaning the vehicle that first arrives near the slot has the right to claim it.

As a matter of etiquette, those who arrive later are expected to look for an alternative parking spot instead.

It is considered common courtesy to yield the parking slot to the car that was first to stop directly in front of or near the space.
