CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga — Seventy-two police personnel from Central Luzon have been sent to Mindanao to reinforce Police Regional Office 10 in Cagayan de Oro City.

The three 27-member platoons “are among the best and skilled personnel who have undergone specialization training including tactical and combat operations,” Superintendent Fe Grenas, spokesperson of the Central Luzon PNP, said in a phone interview.

The deployed personnel, who had just completed a 90-day character and aptitude training, “will stay there (in Region 10) until an order for their pull out and termination of mission is issued by higher headquarters.”

Chief Superintendent Aaron Aquino, Central Luzon police director, said “the sending of troops to Mindanao is in line with the PNP program to include assignment in conflict areas in their tour of duty.”
