The GlobalPort Batang Pier launched an 11-0 run in the fourth frame to down the struggling Kia Picanto, 102-90, in the Oppo PBA Governors’ Cup on Sunday at SMART-Araneta Coliseum.
Import Murphy Holloway posted a double-double of 29 points and 18 boards to lead the Batang Pier (2-2) who notched a .500 record and kept Kia (0-7) winless in the tournament.
Stanley Pringle also scored 21 points, seven rebounds and four assists for GlobalPort. Mac Baracael, acquired by the Batang Pier in a trade last week, made 13 markers in his team debut.
