Philippines posts $5.1 billion trade deficit in January

 The Philippines posted a trade deficit PHTBAL=ECI of $5.1 billion for January, preliminary official data showed on Friday.

Imports PHIMP=ECIrose 10.8% in January from a year earlier to $11.45 billion, while exports PHEXP=ECIincreased 6.3% to $6.36 billion, the Philippine Statistics Authority said.
