The national costume of a Pinoy-made doll landed in the Top 10 Best Costumes of an international doll pageant.
Olivia Therese Solis, the doll representing the Philippines, wore an intricate clock-inspired gown for her national costume at the 2023 Miss Beauty Doll contest.
In a Facebook Reel, the Miss Beauty Doll Facebook account teased that Solis made it among the Top 10. The winners, however, were yet to be announced.

“Who will be the winner? Coming Soon!” the post reads.
Raynang Maynika Pilipinas (RaMP), the handler of the Pinoy-made dolls, also shared this news on its Facebook account on November 12.
“Congratulations to our Baby Girl Olivia Therese Solis MBD Philippines and her Natcos [national costume] Gears of Time for being included in the Miss Beauty Doll Top 10 Best in National Costume,” it said.
Solis’ costume previously stunned social media users. Her photos thus garnered the most traction among the delegates on the official pageant page.
RaMP previously said that her time piece-inspired outfit goes in line with the event’s theme this year, Preservation of the Environment.
“How we as a race strived for industry and development and in the process destroyed nature and our surroundings. If we could only turn back time, and maybe change our ways with regards to our only home, our planet, while still striving to be the best version of our civilized world, then that version of the earth would be called paradise,” it said.

In 2021, the Pinoy-made doll named Anna Eugenia Tadeo won the national costume award for her “Alimuom” gold-and-white ensemble.
Solis is vying to win the elusive Miss Beauty Doll crown and become the second local doll to win the Thai-based competition for pageant dolls since 2016.
