A home can become more vibrant and exciting with the latest collection from a Swedish furniture brand.

IKEA’s 10th edition of the PS Collection highlights the functionality and “playfulness” of its designs.

Content creator Julia Richards, Swedish Ambassador to the Philippines Anna Ferry and IKEA Country Sales Manager Sarah Cox shared how the latest collection brings fun and personality to their homes during the launch event.

For Richards, the collection creates a cohesive look despite its variety of shapes and patterns.

“This collection, you could put every single item in one room, and it wouldn’t look redundant. They would look very intentional, very designed,” Richards said.

“It’s as if you picked one from different stores or different parts of the world, put it there together in a very well-designed space. But it’s all just from one collection…It just looks cohesive,” she added.

Meanwhile, Ferry emphasized that incorporating colorful textiles, such as rugs and cushions, into one’s home can also bring more vibrancy to everyday life.

“[Home is] where you want to cuddle up with friends and family. And I think that what we see here is the variety of colors. So, that’s also important for your well-being. To put a little bit of color in your life,” she said.

Cox, meanwhile, said the Swedish designs also reflect the close-knit nature of Filipino families.

She explained that the brand’s storage solutions, for instance, allow her to both organize and display the things she loves, making it easier to share them with others.

“I don’t have to hide everything away. I can use the walls to show even more things that I love, even more stories about my family and my friends. And all of this, I think, connects super well in what IKEA and the design from that Swedish base brings us,” Cox added.

The PS Collection 2026 features more than 40 pieces, including an inflatable bright green chair with a chrome frame, a red periscope-inspired table clock, colorful wall decorations resembling faces, and a birdhouse-inspired bedside table.

First launched in 1995, the PS Collection is considered IKEA’s “experimental playground,” showcasing innovative and unconventional designs.
