Former PBA player Cris Bolado died in a motorcycle crash on Sunday. He was 47.
The fatal accident happened in Cambodia where he was based as a restaurant owner.
Nicknamed “Jumbolado”, he was drafted with the 13th overall pick by Alaska in the 1994 PBA Draft.
He was considered as a lucky charm in his nine-year PBA career as most of the teams he played for ended up winning the championship.
Bolado, a burly 6’7″ reserve center, won a total of 11 championships. He played for Alaska, Purefoods, Ginebra, San Miguel, Red Bull and Coca-Cola.
Apart from his PBA stint, Bolado also dabbled in showbiz.
