Despite the national team’s loss against Lebanon, Jordan Clarkson amused basketball fans after passing the ball to Kai Sotto end-to-end during the FIBA World Cup Qualifiers match-up at the Nouhad Nawfal Sports Complex, Lebanon on Thursday, August 25.

After receiving the ball from Clarkson, Sotto freely dunked in the opposite side of the court.

“GRABE ANG SMOOTH!!!!!!!” an online user wrote with a perfect score and fire emojis.

“That pitch and that slam,” a Twitter user wrote with amused emoji.

An online user called Clarkson’s basketball performance the “epitome of Filipino streetball.”

“They might not have won, but you can’t deny that this was one hell of a pass. #LabanPilipinas,” a Twitter user wrote

Aside from the full-court assist, Sotto and Clarkson’s alley-oop were lauded on social media.

“Imagine, they only have a short training time but their connection!! Geez!! Kai Sotto and Jordan Clarkson will be a big problem!! Plus, Dwight Ramos gave us a great game. This Gilas will be great,” a Twitter user said

Clarkson scored 27 points, six rebounds, and seven assists, while Sotto contributed 10 points.

The game ended with a score of 85-81.

After the game, Clarkson posted a tweet saying it was a “great game by Lebanon.”

“Love yalls crowd energy!! Proud of the way we fought!! We came up short!! Stay safe, all love, until next time!! See yall in Manila!!” the NBA player said.

Gilas Pilipinas hopes to make a rebound as they play against Saudi Arabia on Monday, August 29, at the Mall of Asia Arena.
