A social media user made online users laugh for attempting to avoid the sunlight from hitting his skin as an espionage-themed music played in the background.

Luis Andrew Tesorero on April 25 posted a clip of him attempting to avoid the direct rays of the sun on the sidewalk as he acted like a movie character in Pasay City.

“POV: Ayaw mong maarawan,” the TikTok video’s in-text read.

“Sayang ang sabon HAHAHAHA,” Tesorero wrote on TikTok with hashtag “#spiderman.”

His clip has amassed 1.4 million views, over 2,500 likes and 14,800 favorites on the platform so far.

It also earned several comments from TikTok users, with some claiming they also do the same moves during their commute.

“Literally me,” a Pinoy wrote.

“Sayang Kojic,” another user commented, referring to a skin-whitening soap.

“I STILL DO THIS,” wrote a different Pinoy with crying emojis.

“Ako ‘yan,” another user exclaimed with a laughing emoji.

In an interview with Inquirer.net, Tesorero explained that he and his friends were on their way back to their on-the-job training site after lunch when they filmed the video.

“Naisipan po naming i-video, kumbaga katuwaan lang po. Hindi ko po akalain na mag-bu-boom ‘yung notification ko na [makaka-relate ang] mga tao po, lalo sa init po ng panahon ngayon,” he said.

The health department has advised the public to refrain from going outside or being under direct sunlight from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. for preventive measures as the country experiences high heat index levels this warm and dry season.

Other advice includes staying hydrated and wearing loose and light-colored clothes.

The state weather bureau said that coastal areas will continue to experience high heat index levels this month amid the lingering effects of El Niño in the country.

The heat index is the measure of the temperature that a person feels and is computed by factoring in the humidity and the air temperature.

The weather bureau said the public will experience extreme heat until the second week of May.
