Online users were impressed by showbiz personality Kris Aquino‘s memory, despite her health condition, as she responded to comments made by actor Anjo Yllana about their past relationship.
In a vlog, the actor had previously claimed that they only dated each other for three weeks.
“Nag-break kami ni Kris. Minsan, dumalaw ako sa kanya, nagdala ako ng flowers, galing Baguio. May matataas na stems na roses na alam mong galing ibang bansa,” he said, referring to what he saw when he visited Kris before.
Anjo asked where the long-stemmed roses were, and Kris, according to him, said they were “from Robin.”
The actor then asked, “Nanliligaw ba sa’yo si Robin?” to which she reportedly replied, “Oh, he’s my boyfriend.”
Actor-turned-politician Robin Padilla was among the men whom Kris was linked to in the past. He admitted it was his fault that things did not work out before, describing himself as an “addict” who did not “value” her efforts.
Meanwhile, Anjo said he asked Kris for clarification by saying, “Boyfriend mo si Robin? Boyfriend mo rin ako?”
Kris reportedly replied, “Yeah, including Aga.”
“So nabaliw ako nun,” Anjo claimed in the vlog, adding that he called her “crazy” and offered to just be “friends” because “nothing will happen to them.”
Kris shared her side of the story, denying that she two-timed Anjo with anyone else.
“Anjo Yllana, you filled my room with pink balloons for our first monthsary (hindi ako proud, but he said as he started, we didn’t last [three] weeks because pinagsabay ko sila ni Robin. Wala siyang kasabay. Anjo, ano ba, we were outside my mom’s house, hinatid mo ‘ko — may naghihintay),” she wrote on Instagram.
“Mom” refers to the late former president Cory Aquino, a democracy icon and the wife of the late former senator Ninoy Aquino.
“It was a big surprise for me [and] you. You left with these parting lines: Mukhang nakakagulo ako, fyi [for your information] girlfriend ko siya, kahit feeling ko paggising ko, wala na,” Kris added, quoting Anjo.
She did not name the other person involved, referring to him only as a “surprise,” but hinted that he was 23 years old at the time, while she was 21.
Kris also quoted Anjo as saying: “Girlfriend mo, harapan mong binabastos. You don’t trust her? Dumalaw ako dahil isang buwan akong abroad, dala ko ‘yung pasalubong ko… ‘Di ba mauuna ka na?”
According to the former actress, she “stood unmoving, staring at the floor.”

Kris’ detailed story amused some Filipinos, who were impressed by her memory despite the incident having occurred in the ’90s and her fragile health condition.
“The details, Miz Krissy remembers!!! Hahaha,” a Reddit user commented.
“Grabe din ‘yung memory ni Kris, no, even with her health now. Clearly, this was years ago and she can still recall mga ganitong events. I’m sure the conversation may be non-verbatim, but still… she is Kris Aquino. Hope she gets well soon!” another Reddit user wrote.
“She remembered every detail, hahahaha,” a different Pinoy said.
“Grabe memory niya, ano? ‘Yun ang napansin ko. Detailed ng kwento eh,” another commented.
Kris has been battling multiple autoimmune conditions since her health declined in 2016, with some diagnosed over the years.
These include rheumatoid arthritis, thyroiditis, chronic spontaneous urticaria, eosinophilic granulomatosis with polyangiitis (EGPA), systemic sclerosis (scleroderma), lupus (SLE), fibromyalgia, polymyositis, and mixed connective tissue disease.
An autoimmune condition occurs when the body’s immune system mistakenly attacks healthy cells, perceiving them as foreign invaders like bacteria or viruses.
She is currently residing in Tarlac, her family’s home province.
