2 soldiers wounded in Maguindanao IED blast

COTABATO CITY, Philippines — Two soldiers were wounded when an improvised explosive device was detonated in Shariff Aguak town, Maguindanao early Thursday morning.

The soldiers were among troops from Charlie Company of the 40th Infantry Battalion conducting a route security patrol when the incident happened around 5:45 a.m.

The injured soldiers, identified only as Privates Agudo and Saravia, were treated at the Integrated Provincial Health Office and are out of danger.
