Themed nights over great coffee: Kapitolyo’s espresso bar offers inclusive café experience

There’s a new hangout place in vibrant Kapitolyo, Pasig City.

Stay Up Espresso Bar, which started as a small neighborhood cafe in Las Piñas City, officially opened its third branch at 16 United Street, Kapitolyo last November 3.

Its second branch, on the other hand, is located in Katipunan, Quezon City. It provides students with pick-up-and-go coffee blends and beverages.

The café-bar branch, which prides itself on simple yet thoughtfully crafted coffee, seeks to elevate the typical café experience of its new and loyal patrons.

It is offering the following bestsellers:

  • Revel Bar

For its third branch, Stay Up Espresso Bar not only aims to awaken the senses of its customer but also provides them with a fun, inclusive space to enjoy. Pets are also welcome in this café.

As it is not your traditional coffee shop, it curated themed nights that fit all personalities and their passions.

Stay Up Espresso Bar pitches the exciting cafe concept of themed events from tarot readings to 80s nights, stand-up comedy, drag performances, and more, all to keep you and your favorite coffee drink company.

There are performances by up-and-coming drag queens lined up thrice a week, making sure your brunches, afternoons and evenings are never dull.

Customers can enjoy the themed events alongside the many different food and drinks for P1,500.

During the grand opening, Stay Up Espresso bar gave a glimpse of these themed nights with crowd-favorite drag queens gracing the café.

Bekenemen Prod co-founder and content creator Baus Rufo hosted the opening event.

Drag queen and co-founder Myx Chanel kicked off the drag afternoon with a lip sync performance.

“Drag Race Philippines” season 1 queens, Lady Morgana, Eva Le Queen, Marina Summers and the “Divine Divas,” Brigiding and Viñas DeLuxe, including Drag Race Super Precious Paula Nicole also popped off the cafe and put on a spectacular show witnessed by the members of the press.

The performances of Eva, Brigiding and Precious made headlines as their pieces were not only confined to the four corners of the café but also made United Street their stage.

Eva crossed the street for her performance while Brigiding acted as a traffic enforcer.

Precious performed the iconic “Sissy that Walk” on the street. She also surprised fans as she brought a real-life dove.
