The Filipino cult favorite horror anthology series is back.

True to its word, local publisher PSICOM has relaunched the “True Philippine Ghost Stories” months after announcing its comeback and calling for new submissions.

Last May, the publisher announced the “extraordinary comeback” of the beloved anthology and sought fresh submissions that would fit the theme of the book series.

It had invited the public to “seize the opportunity to contribute to the relaunch of the bestselling book series” and leave a mark on its much-anticipated comeback.

Now, copies of the first volume of the “True Philippine Ghost Stories: Resurrected” are available on its Shopee account at a discounted price.

The relaunch contains more than 25 different tales of encounters with the supernatural with stories like “The Angkas Chronicles: Rosalinda’s Journey,” “Isang Gabi sa Ayala Triangle Gardens,” “Vlogger’s Tale” and “Ang Huling Delivery,” among others.

It is also inviting readers to become part of the next “Resurrected” volume by sharing “real supernatural encounters” if they have one, or if they know someone who has a story.

“Your experience awaits its spotlight,” it said in the introductory pages of the first volume of the “True Philippine Ghost Stories: Resurrected.”

Apart from the new volume, PSICOM also reprinted the first ten books of the “True Philippine Ghost Stories” which came out in the early 2000s.

These books can be bought in the publisher’s Shopee and Lazada accounts. Readers can buy each book separately or via a book bundle.

“True Philippine Ghost Stories” first graced the local shelves in 2002. It has over 30 volumes.

The book series was famous for being passed around in classrooms by students who were fascinated with stories that primarily featured encounters in schools, among others.

The collection also made it to television in 2004 after GMA Network produced a program titled “Wag Kukurap.”

The show, hosted by Kapuso primetime star Dingdong Dantes, featured paranormal stories from “True Philippines Ghost Stories” and “Haunted Philippines.”
