Filipino folk-pop band Ben&Ben’s release of their two new songs from their upcoming debut album immediately became popular among their fans on Twitter.
The singles “Araw-araw” and “Pagtingin” were released on Spotify at midnight of May 3. These will be part of their debut album titled “Limasawa Street.”
The #BenAndBenNewSingles soon trended on Twitter Philippines as their fans expressed their delight in listening to the songs on Spotify. .
The group later thanked the listeners for the support tweeting “Let us flood this dark world with our light.”
These two songs will form part of their 13-track debut album to be released on May, the acclaimed band said.
With a touch of creativity, they also said that this will be in a form of a usable night lamp with artistic post cards, a lyric booklet and a flash drive containing all the songs.
“Each one is an audio-visual experience you bring home with you,” Ben&Ben said.

On April 9, they posted a photo of their meeting with American singer-songwriter John Mayer.
It seemed a dream come true for them as they gave Mayer an advanced copy of the much-anticipated album.
“He gave his pick. We gave him our album, a dream,” they said in the caption.

Ben&Ben, formed in 2015, comprise twins Paolo and Miguel Guico as singer-songwriters, Poch Barretto on electric guitar, Jam Villanueva on drums, Agnes Reoma on bass, Patricia Lasaten on keyboards, Toni Muñoz and Andrew de Pano on percussions and Keifer Cabugao on violin.
They won second runner-up for “Tinatangi” at the Philippine Popular Music Festival in 2016. They also released their first self-titled mini album.
Their popular songs include “Maybe the Night,” “Leaves” and “Ride Home.”
