Your “add to cart” can make a difference.

A Catholic charity organization is encouraging the public to share their blessings to those heavily affected by Severe Tropical Storm “Maring” (international name Kompasu) that wreaked havoc in the country earlier this month.

Caritas Manila on Monday announced that Filipinos can help those who have been displaced by the tropical cyclone that severely impacted Northern Luzon such as the Ilocos Region, Cagayan Valley and the Cordillera Administrative Region.

Maring also affected those in Central Luzon, Mimaropa, and Metro Manila, the country’s capital region. It was likewise felt in Caraga in Mindanao.

As of October 23, reports said that the storm left 43 people dead.

The National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council said that it has also displaced thousands in four regions alone based on its October 12 report.

In view of this, Caritas released donation vouchers on Lazada that aim to help those who have been affected by the country’s deadliest weather disturbance so far for this year.

The amount will be used to provide them with the following:

  • Food packs (rice, canned goods, coffee, biscuits, noodles)
  • Drinking water
  • Sanitation kits (N95 masks, bath/laundry soap, diapers, sanitary pads, toothbrush, bath/face towels, wipes/tissue, undergarments)
  • Shelter and household items (sleeping mats, blankets, mosquito nets, plates, cups, utensils, slippers)
  • Medicine (Lagundi tablet/syrup, paracetamol, antihistamine, amlodipine, cetirizine, salbutamol nebules)

Filipinos only need to visit the organization’s Lazada account and then choose from the donation vouchers available.
