A longtime Filipino fan of pop star Olivia Rodrigo shared her very first online interactions with the singer-songwriter with a Pinoy heritage.
Online user @shobjin on Saturday, September 14 tagged Live Nation Philippines, the concert promoter of the artist’s “GUTS World Tour” in the country, and quipped of deserving a ticket.
“Hoy, deserve ko ng tix [ticket], mag-kumare kami ni Olivia #OliviaRodrigo @livenationph,” she wrote on the X (formerly Twitter) platform.
Her post was accompanied by a screengrab of interaction with the “vampire” singer through Instagram’s Direct Messenger (DM) feature that started nine years ago.
The fan messaged Olivia on June 29, 2015, requesting for the then-actress to give her “facts” about herself.
During that year, the artist landed her first starring role in “An American Girl: Grace Stirs Up Success.”
In 2016, she would have her small-screen debut in the Disney series “Bizaardvark.”
Four years later, Olivia would sign a record deal and begin her musical journey to become a pop icon of Gen Z.
Meanwhile, the artist in the DM obliged to user @shobjin’s request by sharing six trivia, adding that the fan was “free” to ask any other questions.

The fan also shared other screengrabs of their DM as further proof and joked about being “close” to the “driver’s license” singer.
“Close kami kaya pabili, pls [please], HAHAHAHA @livenationph #OliviaRodrigo,” she commented.
Her other screengrabs featured continued interactions with Olivia.

As further proof of her interactions, the fan shared a screen recording of the DM to those doubting her content.

“Pabili pa din ng tickets pls [please], @livenationph, @smtickets,” she commented on Monday, September 16.
Months after breathless anticipation following the release of her tour dates in Asia, Olivia finally confirmed that she will visit the Philippines — the country where her great-grandfather came from — on October 5.
She revealed that her Philippine leg will be part of a “very special” Silver Star Show in which proceeds from the tickets will go to her Fund 4 Good organization.
The org is her global initiative to support girls’ education and reproductive rights, as well as prevent gender-based violence.
A “Silver Star” ticket costs P1,500, regardless of the seat. It can be purchased up to four times per buyer.
Seats are guaranteed to be located next to each other, but their exact location will only revealed once tickets are redeemed after September 28.
Tickets started selling last Saturday.
Olivia got her big break with her 2021 album “SOUR” which carried hits like “deja vu,” “driver’s license,” and “good 4 u.”
She has since earned three Grammys, seven Billboard Music Awards, four MTV Video Music Awards, and four People’s Choice awards in her musical career, among others.
Her great-grandfather from her father’s side immigrated to the United States from the Philippines as a teenager to start a new life.
Meanwhile, her mother is American with German and Irish ancestry.
The artist had revealed that her Pinoy great-grandfather was a “really good cook” who would make lumpia, which she found “really yummy.”
In 2018, Olivia shared that she hopes to visit the Philippines as they have “extended family” in the country who she has never met.
