A fan of the K-pop girl group 2NE1 shared that she used a Pisonet to secure a ticket for the quartet’s highly anticipated comeback concert.
User Cara (@caranoise) of the X (formerly Twitter) platform shared she bought two tickets for the group’s “Welcome Back” Asia Tour, which includes a Philippine stop on November 16 and 17 at the SM Mall of Asia Arena.
The fan also posted snaps of her experience to mark the encounter, which included images of several coins, a webpage showing her transaction, and a Pisonet timer machine.
“Hindi niyo alam ang pinagdaanan ko sa loob ng Pisonet!!!!” the “Blackjack” wrote on October 10 with loudly crying emojis.
“Blackjack” is the term for 2NE1 fans.
“SEE YOU, 2NE1!!!!!!! ILYSM [I LOVE YOU SO MUCH], SEE YOU MAHAAAL, @krungy21,” Cara added, tagging 2NE1 member and former actress Sandara Park, also known as Dara.

The post has earned a whopping number of 731,200 views, 20,000 likes, 1,800 reposts, and 191 comments so far.
In a follow-up post after it went viral, Cara shared more details about her online ticket purchase for the girl group’s comeback concert.
“For context: Sarado bahay ng kapatid kong hihiraman sana ng PC [personal computer] kasi field trip pala ng pamangkin ko, masyadong mabagal ang aming laptop, I dont wanna risk,” the fan narrated.
“So, yes, while this is too funny to be true, nag-Pisonet ako [because I] didn’t have any other option. Wala na pa lang per hour na internet cafes nowadays, huhu,” Cara added.
“Anywayz, 50 pesos coins pinapalit ko sa Pisonet pero ‘di ko nagamit lahat, HAHAHAHA IDK [ I DON’T KNOW] HOW MUCH NAGASTOS BC [BECAUSE] HULOG LANG AKO [NANG] HULOG. But may sukli pa P50 ko,” she said.
The Blackjack also offered advice to those who would resort to similar ticket-buying tactics in the future.
“AND PLS., WHOEVER WILL TRY THE SAME, PLS. PLS. DO NOT FORGET USING INCOGNITO [OR] AND DELETING CHROME HISTORY!!! Do not save passwords [or] payment deets. In case you do, pls. make sure they’re deleted before leaving,” Cara wrote.
The fan also appealed to fellow Blackjacks to refrain from buying from scalpers or resellers for their security.

Someone also asked if the internet in Pisonet was fast, “for future ticket buying purposes.”
“Uhm, hindi ko po alam, depende pa rin po ata sa Pisonet shop. Hindi kasi maaasahan device namin sa bahay kaya sa labas ako nag-try,” Cara answered with crying emojis.
Others thought that the fan’s method of using the internet was a “very 2NE1 era.”
“It’s the Pisonet for me, very 2NE1 era talaga,” an X user commented.
“Very old-fashioned pero sobrang cute, lalo na [second generation] ang 2NE1,” another online user wrote.
Pisonet is a combination of computer and arcade rental services, where customers pay for internet access by inserting coins into the machine, hence the term “piso.”
The pay-as-you-go system is usually popular among short-time internet users and budget-conscious individuals who want cheaper options to internet cafes, which have fixed rates and have minimum minutes of usage, usually a minimum of 60 minutes.
In Pisonet, users place coins in a Pisonet stall and a timer starts counting down from certain minutes. For some, it could be five minutes. This translates to the browsing time.
As soon as five minutes is up, the monitor goes blank until the user places more coins in the stall.
The system used to be popular before the availability of wi-fi and internet lines among households.
Meanwhile, 2NE1 is a pioneering K-pop group that was active from 2009 until 2016 under YG Entertainment.
Its members are Dara; who used to be a Philippine-based actress; CL, Minzy, and Park Bom.
The group is known for its fierce image and hip-hop-influenced sound. It is also the first Korean group to break into the Billboard 200.
Some of their hits are “Fire,” “I Don’t Care,” “Can’t Nobody,” “Go Away,” and “Ugly.”
The “Welcome Back” tour is being held in celebration of the quartet’s 15th anniversary.
