The Ateneo Blue Babble Batallion made known its stance on today’s national issues in its halftime performance in the UAAP on Wednesday.

In its routine, the cheering squad protested the Commission on Human Rights’ P1,000 budget given by the House of Representatives and the extrajudicial killings under the Duterte administration.

Clad in black shirts, the cheerleaders raised placards with the words “P1,000” and “Stop the EJKS, uphold human rights.”

It wasn’t the first time that the Ateneo community made such move. Last year, it encouraged supporters to wear black in the Ateneo-La Salle rivalry game to protest EJK cases.
