Actress Karla Estrada denied speculations that the KathNiel couple has broken up after her son, Daniel Padilla, said that his dog is the epitome of loyalty.

An Instagram user on Thursday asked the matriarch to “enlighten” the fans about online rumors of the couple’s breakup or if they have problems with each other.

“[May] naglalabasan po kasing mga comments sa TikTok dahil [lang] sa pagsabi ni DJ na si Summer ang definition ng pinaka-loyal niya,” she commented on one of Karla’s IG posts.

“WALANG KATOTOHANAN!!!” the matriarch responded.

Karla also replied to a Facebook user who posted about the Instagram user’s comment and the actress’ answer.

“Gong gong lang ang nagpauso [niyan]! Matulog na kayo! At mag-aral [nang] maayos bukas!” she said in the comments, referring to rumors of KathNiel experiencing problems or breaking up.

KathNiel is the portmanteau of the names of Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel.

The couple recently appeared in a finale media conference for their drama series “2 Good 2 Be True,” where one of the reporters asked them, “What is loyalty for you?”

Kathryn said that for her, loyalty is about “being contented.”

“Because if you’re contented, you won’t look for any more person, right? So loyalty equals your current contentment,” she said.

Daniel, for his part, said that his pet dog, Summer, is the “most loyal.”

“‘Yun ‘yung pinaka-loyal. Dun ko makikita ‘yung definition ng loyalty. Na kahit ano mang pinagdadaanan ko ngayon, kung ano mang sitwasyon o emosyon ko ngayon, kung sino ako ngayon, tatanggapin ako nang buong-buo nun. ‘Yun ang loyalty. Walang judgement kung sino ka,” he continued.

He then looked in Kathryn’s direction and the latter gave him a supporting pat.

The couple leads the cast of the drama-romcom series that is set to end in three weeks’ time. It has the following premise:

Ali (Kathryn) and Eloy (Daniel) first cross paths at a hotel after seeing that a robbery had happened there. Eloy, whose father is in jail, is part of a group of scam artists. In his mission to discover the truth behind the crime that put his father in prison, he was led to an old man. When Eloy realized that the old man’s nurse is Ali, he starts plotting to use her, despite Ali’s growing suspicions about him. In a world full of lies, is true love still real?

KathNiel traces its story to 2011, when the two starred in the teen drama series “Growing Up.”

In 2018, the pair admitted that they had been officially in a relationship for “more than five years” already.
