Amid the praises for the new series “FPJ’s Batang Quiapo,” Miles Ocampo took the spotlight for her lauded acting performance.
Miles portrayed the character of young Marites, who was sexually assaulted by a fugitive named Ramon, played by Coco Martin. This resulted in a conception.
Marites attempted to abort her child but she was stopped by her mother named Tindeng, portrayed by Lara Quigaman.

Marites later gave birth in a wet market alone.
The mother initially decided to abandon her child but when a woman attempted to take her child, she resisted and uttered the now famous line: “Anak ko ‘yan.”

The current TV series is a remake of Fernando Poe Jr.’s 1986 film of the same title.
Other members of the“FPJ’s Batang Quiapo” are Da King’s daughter Lovi Poe, Charo Santos, Lito Lapid, Christopher de Leon, John Estrada, Tommy Abuel, Pen Medina, Susan Africa, Cherry Pie Picache, Allan Paule, Mark Lapid, Ronwaldo Martin, and Mercedes Cabral.
