Actress Gabbi Garcia teased Filipinos when she posted a video of herself donning “pageant looks” in her invite for people to watch the coronation of Miss Universe Philippines 2024.

The actress in the video showcased different gowns while the viral clip of designer Martin Bautista shouting with his friends when Miss Universe 2010 4th runner-up Venus Raj was called onstage played.

In 2010, a video of Martin and his friends cheering for the Filipina became one of the most viewed YouTube videos.

It showed them reacting as Venus made it into the Top 15 of Miss Universe 2010 before.

Gabbi used some parts of the video and edited it to make it appear as if they were cheering for her as a pageant candidate.

“CHAROT ONLYYYY!! Pageant seasoooon! Excited to be one of your hosts!!! See you all tomorrow [on] the #MissUniversePhilippines stage!!!” the actress wrote on Instagram on May 21.

Gabbi also wrote the following in the video:

“CHAROT! Next time na ‘yan. Host lang ako. See you tomorrow, Miss Universe Philippines!”

The video garnered many reactions from Filipinos, especially since Gabbi has been constantly rumored to be entering a beauty pageant before.

“Omg, did she just said, next time. Mukhang may balak sumabak sa Miss Universe ang ating Sanggre Alenaaaa,” an online user wrote, referencing Gabbi’s character in the reboot of “Encantadia.”

“See you next time? OMG, WILL WE SEE YOU AS MUPH CANDIDATE SOON?” another Instagram user commented.

“Waahhhh!!!!!! Maloloka ako, promise, hahahah!!” Sparkle GMA Artist Center vice president Joy Marcelo exclaimed.

“What if, what if?!” another Instagram user commented with a heart-eyed emoji.

Earlier this year, Gabbi admitted to being flattered by rumors claiming that she will join Miss Universe Philippines 2024.

The speculations were so strong that Miss Universe 2023 Top 10 finalist Michelle Dee — perceived as her “lookalike” — texted her asking if the actress would join.

“Pero nakakatuwa and nakakakilig because they’re considering me, but, at the same time kasi, that’s a lot of things to process.  Hindi naman ganoon kadali sumali lang,” Gabbi said before.

She said that it was her childhood dream to join a beauty pageant.

The actress is among the hosts of the Miss Universe Philippines 2024 coronation, together with Miss Universe 2022 R’Bonney Gabriel, multi-media personality Tim Yap, actor Alden Richards and Emmy award-winning TV personality Jeannie Mai.

The winner will succeed Michelle in representing the country at the 73rd edition of Miss Universe in Mexico.
