Comeback kid Carlo Aquino is the third most searched item in the Philippines on Wednesday. With more than 5,000 hits on Google, inquiries on the actor surpassed those on deadly infection leptospirosis and football legend Diego Maradona.

But why is Carlo, of the love team with Angelica Panganiban in the 90s and early noughties, trending?

Earlier this week, a teaser for new indie flick he’s starring on was released on Instagram. Carlo co-stars with old flame Angelica for “Exes Baggage” directed by Dan Villegas (“Walang Forever” and “English Only Please”).

The teaser was accompanied by an Instagram story where he surprises Angelica on set with a kiss and embrace, spurring rumors that the exes may be getting back together.

Fans were also surprised that Carlo, 32, still has the same boyish looks—with a similar hairstyle!—since his boy band days with JCS in 2001.

Earlier this year, Carlo made his return to the big screen with “Meet Me in St. Gallen” opposite Bela Padilla.
