Sandara Park expressed dismay at a concert in Cebu City where she was supposed to perform was postponed.

Sandara was part of the line-up for the K-pop concert “Awake: A New Beginning” lineup in Cebu City.

It was scheduled to take place on Saturday, September 23. However, it was abruptly canceled a few days before the event.

This development prompted Sandara to apologize to her fans and express how sad and disappointed she was via her X account on Sunday, September 17.

“I’m so sad and sorry for my fans coz of the Cebu concert. I’m also very, very sad and disappointed with what happened in Cebu. I was preparing a lot for the show. But there is always next time so please,” she said with a praying hand emoji.

“I hope you guys are ok and don’t forget I’ll always be here for my Daralings and Blackjacks,” she added.

Daraling is the collective name of her fans. Blackjack, meanwhile, is the fandom name of her former girl group 2ne1.

In a separate post, Sandara also said that she will be missing the Paris Fashion Week (PFW) next week because of a prior commitment. However, this work engagement was also canceled.

She then expressed frustration over this turn of events.

“And I’m not going to PFW this year. I was supposed to be in another country for work end of this month but unfortunately, it just got canceled too,” the K-pop star said with crying and tired face emojis.

“What is happening…My god. So it is already too late to prepare for Paris. What a bad timing,” Sandara added.

The 38-year-old Korean celebrity has been a regular guest of the long-running fashion affair over the years.

The PFW 2023 will be held in Paris, France from September 25 to October 3.

Comforting words for fans

Despite feeling down, Sandara shared another post to comfort her fans whom she said felt “more sad and hurt during my bad times.”

“There are always ups and downs in life. Honestly, I’m not feeling good but how much more Daralings and Blackjacks feel. You guys are always happier than me during my good times and sadder and hurt during my bad times. But there’s a rainbow always after the rain. I love you guys,” the fashion icon posted.

Sandara also managed to express optimism that she would soon get the chance to see them soon.

“I love fashion and I super enjoy attending fashion events but I think performing onstage [over] fashion events. I can still go to fashion week next year but I was really excited to meet my fans onstage again in different cities,” the Korean artist said.

“Hoping for more shows in the future. We are still young!” she added.

Last July, Sandara released her self-titled Korean debut EP, which marked her comeback in the music industry.
