A kitten amused social media users after its fur parent turned it into a mock patient for a school activity.

Erick John “EJ” Baaco, a first-year nursing student from Puerto Princesa City, Palawan, had his one-month-old kitten, Millie, participate in a Skills Acquisition Drill (SAD) on patient bed positioning.

“POV: Wala ka ibang patient. Pero may pusa ka,” the text on the video reads.

In an interview with Radyo Bandera, Baaco said he decided to practice on his kitten because he had no patient on whom to demonstrate his skills.

The kitten was asleep when he gently held it and positioned it belly-up.

When it did not wake up, he laughed and then placed what appeared to be an improvised blanket over the kitten’s belly.

Millie later changed positions, resting her head on an improvised pillow.

“Ganap na ganap,” the text in the video reads, returning to the scene when the kitten was lying belly-up while still asleep.

In another interview with Inquirer, Baaco said that Millie is very playful when awake but tends to sleep a lot, especially during cold weather.

He also rated the kitten’s performance “100/10” for being cooperative.

Meanwhile, experts said young kittens sleep a lot, as many vital developmental and growth processes take place during their sleep.
