PBA courtside reporter Apple David edited her post, which initially hinted at possible legal action against her critics, into a message expressing gratitude for the social media engagement.
The 33-year-old reporter previously wrote the following on her Facebook page on Monday, August 10:

I already said it before that everyone on social media, personal or dump account, [is] covered by the law and can be traced. Too late to delete comments now. I’ll see some of you guys soon (eyes emoji)

The following day, Apple edited her post to read:

Keep safe, everyone! All love (white heart emoji)
Apple’s post has so far amassed 188,000 reactions, 11,000 shares and 14,700 comments on Facebook, with some noticing the edit.
“Napa reverse walk s’ya eh,” a Facebook user wrote.
“I think she was just rage-baiting y’all for engagement. She probably knew people would get mad and comment, which would give her post more attention,” another commented.
“Dami hanash ni te. Hahaha,” a different Pinoy said.
“Biglang atras si Ateco,” another commented.
In a Facebook Story on Tuesday, August 11, Apple shared a screengrab showing the engagement on some of her posts, along with the text: “Good morning.” It was accompanied by a money-mouth face emoji.
Apple has been drawing attention to her 15-year age gap with student-athlete Chad Gammad, an 18-year-old basketball player from the Colegio de San Juan Letran.
Concerns have been raised about the dynamics of their relationship, with Apple being a working adult and Chad, a student balancing basketball and academic responsibilities.
Apple has previously denied allegations of “grooming,” saying that she “does not need” to do it for her to be liked by someone.
The reporter also said that they only “started dating just this April 2026,” adding that Chad moved from Canada “just last year.”
“Didn’t know each other before that,” Apple previously wrote.
The reporter said that she and Chad had simply “clicked,” adding that some things in life just happen and that she “cannot explain it.”
Apple also acknowledged that theirs was a “very risky relationship” but appealed to the public to be “kind enough” to allow them to take the “risk.”
