Marina Summers made a quick trip down memory lane ahead of the cast unveiling of Season 2 of “Drag Race Philippines.”

Marina on July 10 uploaded a throwback video that showed the moments leading up to the official announcement of the cast of the Philippines’ adaptation of the “RuPaul’s Drag Race” franchise.

The 12 Filipino drag performers who competed to be the first-ever Drag Race Superstar were revealed on July 28, 2022.

“Try not to cry challenge,” she said.

“One last day before we meet the Season 2 queens of @dragraceph, so I’m taking you on a trip down memory lane back to THE DAY we were announced as Season 1 Ru Girls!” she tweeted.

The video showed Marina, Eva Le Queen and Prince Marell out of drag on the morning of that fateful day.

Coincidentally, the much-awaited cast reveal also happened right after an earthquake was felt in different parts of the Philippines.

They were having their breakfast at a branch of a fast food restaurant when the jeepney-themed trailer featuring the trio and the other drag queens dropped.

“We can now openly say, we are Ru Girls of Drag Race Philippines,” Eva said in the video.

Marina finished as the runner-up while Eva was a finalist in the first-ever drag reality show.

Prince became popular for the “shoes” remark that Paolo Ballesteros, main host and judge, made at him during the first episode.

Precious Paula Nicole, a Bicolana drag queen, won the Drag Race Superstar title.

The first season of “DRPH” opened big opportunities not just for these three Pinay queens, but also for the rest of their fellow cast members.

This includes attending and performing at “RuPaul’s Drag Con” events in front of audiences in the United Kingdom and in the United States.
